How to Apply Online for Enrolment of E Shram Card

History of Haryana Government Old Age Pension Scheme Application

The Haryana State Government enhanced the scheme and introduced it as “Old Age Pension Scheme-1991”, now renamed as “Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme”. The scheme was implemented from 1st July, 1991. The age of eligibility was reduced from 65 to 60 year. The aim of the scheme is to make sure the advantages of old age allowance to the needy and especially the poorer sections of the society like Agricultural Laborer, Rural Artisans, SCs/BCs, Small/Marginal Farmers etc. From 1991 to October 1999 pension @ Rupees 100 per month was given which was increased to Rs.200/- with effect from November 1999 and further increased to Rupees 300/- per month with effect from November 2004, to Rupees 500-700 per month with effect from 1 March, 2009, to Rupees 1000/- P.M. with effect from 01-01-2014, to Rupees 1,200/- P.M with effect from 1-1-2015. The rates of old age Samman Allowance are increased to Rupees 1,400/- P.M with effect from 01-01-2016, Rupees 1600/- with effect from 01-11-2016, Rupees 1800/- with effect from 01-11-2017, Rupees. 2000/- with effect from 01-11-2018, Rupees 2250/- with effect from 01.01.2020 and Rupees 2500/- with effect from 01.04.2021.

Present Rate of Allowance Haryana Government old age Pension Scheme Application

With effect from 01 Apr 21, Rupees 2500 per month could also be availed by the eligible category of individuals who are resident of Haryana and meet other terms and conditions set by Government of Haryana.

Eligibility Criteria for Haryana Government adulthood Pension Scheme Application 

Eligibility Criteria:

Initially the earlier eligibility condition were complicated and not easily understood by the common public. Therefore, in true spirit of the objectives of the Scheme, the govt has simplified the eligibility criteria. at the present , a person is eligible for the grant of old age Samman Allowance if:-

  1. The person is aged 60 years or more aged .
  2. The person is domicile and resident of Haryana State; and his/her combined income from all sources along side that of his/her spouse doesn't exceed Rupees 2,00,000/- once a year .

At present, following category of personnel are eligible for the grant of Haryana Government old age Pension Scheme Application:-

  • i) The person is aged 60 years or more;
  • ii) The person is domicile and resident of Haryana State; and his/her income from all sources along side that of his/her spouse doesn't exceed Rupees 2,00,000 once a year 

Excluded Category for Haryana Government adulthood Pension Scheme Application

a) Notwithstanding the above, a person receiving pension from any Government or Local/ Statutory Body or any organization substantially financed by any Government or Local/ Statutory Body won't be eligible to receive allowance under the scheme.

b) “Pension” wherever occurring in any Government notification concerning Social Security Benefits means and includes, income received or accrued from accumulated earnings, including schemes:

    • (i) Provident Funds
    • (ii) Annuities from any source including Commercial Banks, Financial Institutions or Insurance.

  • ii) The person is domicile and resident of Haryana State; and his/her income from all sources along side that of his/her spouse doesn't exceed Rupees 2,00,000 once a year 

Who is eligible for Budhapa Pension aka Old Age Pension?

Applicant must be destitute and having no regular source of monetary support family members or the other sources is eligible for old age pension. BPL widows and BPL persons with severe and multiple disabilities within the age bracket of 60 -79 years aren't eligible for this scheme.
