CSC aim to supply clean cooking fuel to poor households

According to CSC SPV CEO Sanjay Kumar Rakesh, LPG centres managed by CSC aim to supply clean cooking fuel to poor households and replace the unhealthy conventional cooking fuels like firewood and trash .

"Within poorer households, women often face a burden - farm work, housework and family care. most girls die prematurely due to illnesses arising from open and polluting cooking fire sources. during this context, our LPG service will play an important role in women empowerment in rural areas," Rakesh said.

CSC village level entrepreneurs (VLEs) to organize Awareness camps

BPCL executive Santosh Kumar said the CSC village level entrepreneurs (VLEs) should organize health camps to make awareness on health benefits of using LPG rather than coal also as questions of safety .

Guidelines for LPG Distributorship set by Government

The Government has modified the choice guidelines for LPG distributorship and a Unified set of Guidelines are framed for all kinds of LPG distributorship of Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).

Type of Distributorship Area

Urban Distributor: within the guidelines, the word ‘Urban Area’ will have the definition of ‘Urban’ as per Census 2011. LPG distributorship located in ‘Urban Area (U)’will service the LPG customers located within the Municipal Limits of the Metro city/City/Town and can be called Sheheri Vitrak.

Rural Distributor: within the guidelines, the word Rural Urban means LPG Distributor located in ‘Urban Area’ and also providing service to the LPG Customers in specified ‘Rural Area”, generally covering all villages falling within 15 km from the municipal limits of the LPG distributorship location and or the world specified by the respective OMCs. LPG Distributors servicing this area are going to be called Rural Vitrak.

Gramin Vitrak: within the guidelines, the word ‘Rural Area’ will have the definition of ‘Rural’ as per Census 2011. LPG distributorship located in ‘Rural Area’ are going to be called as Gramin Vitrak and can service the LPG customers of the required country . Generally it'll cover all villages falling within 15 km from the boundary limits of the LPG Distributorship location and or the world specified by the respective OMCs.

Durgam Kshetriya Vitrak (DKV): LPG distributors in Difficult and Special Areas (like Hilly regions, Forests area, Tribal inhabited area, sparsely populated, disturbed area, islands, left Extremism (LWE) affected areas) are going to be found out where fixing of Gramin and Rurban Vitrak aren't feasible. Such LPG Distributors are going to be called as Durgam Kshetriya Vitrak (DKV). they're going to service the LPG customers situated in such DKV areas as specified by the respective OMCs.

Eligibility criteria to use for LPG distributorship

Be an Indian citizen and be a resident of India.
Have passed minimum Xth standard examination or equivalent from a recognized Board. The criterion of educational qualification isn't applicable for applicant belonging to insurgent (FF) category.
Be not but 21 years and less than 60 years in age as on the date of advertisement.
There is no age restriction for applicants applying for locations reserved under FF category.
Not be a loved one of employee of OMC as on date of application.
Fulfil Multiple Dealership/Distributorship norms.
Not be a signatory to distributorship/dealerships agreement, terminated on account of proven cases of malpractices/adulteration.
Own a plot of land of minimum dimensions for construction of LPG godown or Own a ready LPG cylinder storage godown as on the last date for submission of application.

And whichever Gas Agency you will sign agreement with, It will help give you Gas Cylinder
