Time limit for intimation of Aadhaar number to the Income tax Department for linking of PAN with Aadhaar has been extended from 30th September, 2021 to 31st March, 2022," the CBDT said. After people complained about problems being faced in linking their Aadhar card, PAN and EPFO ID, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has come up with a web facility to link Aadhaar with PAN and EPFO accounts. The reports are dismissed. The statutory body disclosed that the services were 'stable', and it's done security upgrades on its systems. The individuals have time till September 30 to link their PAN and Aadhaar card. "Last date of linkage of Aadhaar with PAN under section 139AA of the Act, which was earlier extended to 30th June, 2021 was further extended till 30th September, 2021," the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). It has now been extended till 31 Mar 2022.

UIDAI Confirmed AADHAAR PAN Linking Services are Stable

UIDAI said during a press statement that the authentication-based facility remained uninterrupted and every one services remained stable. This came after reports of the outage and therefore the body said it had been "not accurate" within the statement.

Amidst all this, UIDAI further revealed that last week it had administered a 'necessary security upgrade' during a phased manner, which meant that there have been some service interruptions which were reported only at certain enrollment/update centers. consistent with UIDAI, the difficulty was resolved soon. albeit the system had stabilized, it had been already monitoring the functioning to make sure that residents weren't inconvenienced.

“It could also be noted that since the beginning of the upgradation process on 20 August 2021, quite 51 lakh residents are enrolled with a mean of 5.68 lakh enrollments per day within the last 9 days, while the authentication transactions are on the average as was common . went on . Over 5.3 crore authentications per day,” UIDAI said within the statement.
